Emirates ID

An Emirates Id card is an officially identity card for all UAE residents and nationals. The EID also referred to as the UAE ID, issued by Federal Authority of Identity and Citizenship in UAE. An EID contain 15 digit identity number assigned to card holder for life, a biometric ship which include all personal data and photo of ID holder.

Emirates Id is Valid for Expat is 1-3 years, depend of visa validity. UAE national EID validity is 5-10 years and GCC National is 5 years. Expat, other than GCC National, may apply for Emirates ID on his behalf for himself and his dependants on family visa or apply through typing center across UAE.

Documents required for Expat EID:

  • For New / First ID
  • Original Passport
  • Original Valid Residency or Entry Permit
  • Extra document required for child below 15 year age
  • Fathers’ EID / Birth Certificate
  • 1 White Background Picture
  • Copy of Passport and Visa of Father/Sponsor

For Renewal of ID:

  • Only old EID / Valid Resident Visa required on place of Original Valid Residency or Entry Permit

Documents required for UAE National:

  • Original Family Book
  • Original Passport
  • Extra document required for child below 15 year age
  • Personal Photo with white background
  • Original birth certificate / Fathers’ ID
  • ID Number issued when registering in the Population Register (only for newborn applications)

Documents required for GCC National:

  • Original valid GCC ID card
  • Original Passport
  • Proof of Residency in the UAE
  • Extra document required for child below 15 year age
  • Personal Photo with white background
  • Original birth certificate / Fathers’ ID

Extra document required for child below 15 year age:

  • Personal Photo with white background
  • Original birth certificate / Fathers’ ID
